About the event

Negotiation is a huge part of being in business for yourself. But let’s redefine what that means.

So many of us are afraid to talk about money with clients. We're afraid that this is our one, sole opportunity to find income, and we don't necessarily show up with our sense of value and what we're contributing to the client partnership.

In this 2-hour Intensive, we’ll tackle all things negotiation.

We'll learn about best practices for negotiation, practice regulating your emotions and body while having potentially difficult conversations with your clients,  and do role playing exercises to help practice the discovery call process that all of us do with potential clients to decide whether or not you’ll work together.

You'll get the knowledge, empowerment, practice and tools for implementing negotiation tactics that feel good to your body and your business.

Intensives are for current business owners looking to take their business to the next level by increasing their understanding of business concepts and implementing changes right away.  These are a deeper dive than Workshops and allow more time for strategy and implementation.

Brand new to business? You might benefit from a Workshop, instead.

Intensive FAQs:

I'm just starting out freelancing, and I don't have a steady stream of clients yet. Is this a good opportunity for me?

If you have already begun working with clients, this is an awesome opportunity to build your business off of a strong foundation. However, this is not a good fit for someone that has not worked as a freelancer or as a small business owner yet, or who has not worked with clients. For some of the topics that we'll dive into, you need to have some previous experience, whether good or bad, to be able to make the most of it.

What makes this Intensive different from a Workshop? Why does it cost more?

Workshops are an opportunity to start sinking your teeth into a topic and are shorter in length than an Intensive. Although Workshops provide great resources, they typically cover a topic more broadly than an Intensive does. Intensives give us a longer chunk of time to get depth of understanding and readily available tools to use right away.

How does the group setting help?

The structure of Intensives includes built-in accountability. You’re surrounded with other business owners who are in a similar season of business as you. You have time during the Intensives to collect and build tools that you can make your own, and you feel inspired to use them by surrounding yourself with others with the same intention.
