Add some “being” back to all your “doing.”

Back to Self: October 2025 Community Coaching

A four week community coaching experience for anyone feeling caught up in the hustle of life and work.

This is your invitation to slow down, take stock, and reconnect with your values and big picture vision before the winter rush.

You’re working hard but...

You have a steady stream of clients but...

You’re making ends meet but...

You have some systems to get you by but...

You know your values, but...

you’re rarely doing the kind of work that lights you up.

they're far from your ideal and you feel like you’re mostly just saying ‘meh’ instead of “hell yes!”.

you still don’t feel safe enough to enjoy the freedom freelancing was supposed to bring you.

not setting clear boundaries and overworking constantly undermines them.

your business isn’t helping you honor them in the day to day.

Back to Self: A one month group coaching cohort for anyone looking to recenter their values for the season ahead.

Join a small virtual group facilitated by me, Justine, weekly on Zoom for four weeks. We’ll explore nature-inspired frameworks, visual exercises, and reflection prompts that have helped myself and past retreat participants process what’s behind and clarify what’s ahead.

This is not a business coaching program (though the clarity you gain tends to spill into your work). Instead, it’s a space to stop avoiding the conversations with yourself about where you’re at and what’s next, before the next busy season sweeps you away.

Fall is a season of change, and not just for the leaves and weather.

It’s easy to keep running away from ourselves.

By always prioritizing the urgent, it's too easy to forget to focus on the essentials.

Fall is our reminder to take a step back, prune away the unnecessary, and gather with others to reclaim our focus and prioritize what is important to us.

Have you noticed this?

Uninterrupted support

& accountability

With 2 monthly 45-minute sessions for 6 months and regular touchpoints via email, you’ll always have a strategic partner on your business building journey.

Community transparency & generosity

A private Facebook community of 100+ fellow outdoor industry freelancers means you’ll never have to navigate the business landscape alone.

A collection of
tools & resources

Access to Justine’s gigantic library of books, podcasts, workshops, and other resources ensures you’ll be equipped with all the tools you need to succeed.

After a summer of doing, adventuring, and running at full speed, it’s easy to avoid the deeper questions about where you’re headed.

We've been going hard for so long that we don't recognize where we've landed. But we have the ability to reawaken our inner compass.

For four group sessions, step out of autopilot and spend time in guided reflection, conversation, and creative exercises that will reconnect you to what matters most in your work, your creative spark, and yourself.

These four sessions will be centered on:

  • You sign into work when it makes sense for your lifestyle, moving with ease even when the currents pick up.

  • You confidently turn down work that isn’t a wonderful fit, since you know more opportunities are just around the bend.

  • You no longer leave money on the table, and you make financial and operational business decisions that honor your creative heart and adventurous spirit.

  • Envision surrounding yourself with a community of fellow business owners who can lovingly call you in to make the changes you know you need.

Justine’s program transformed the way I think about my business.

Through a mix of guided sessions and thoughtful weekly assignments I was able to clarify my thinking and light a fire that inspired me to recommit to my passions and skills, while building confidence in building new clients.

I’m Justine,
your guide to more freelance flow!

Because being self-employed doesn’t mean going it alone.

I created this program because many of my clients feel the need for a blend of community and accountability in an industry that often feels isolating and panicked. I’ve seen first-hand how the power of a supportive community blended with coaching can pave a new path forward for creative businesses who want to do business in their own way.

Since 2019, I’ve helped hundreds of clients just like you build sustainable creative businesses by helping them tackle the uncertainty, ambiguity, and stagnancy that’s often woven into entrepreneurship. My goal? To help you build a sustainable business that actually makes money and funds a life that honors your deepest values.

Curious, but have questions?

Here’s what other freelancers are wondering.

  • Before each group coaching call, we will identify as a community the topic that feels most important and urgent to discuss such as learning to say no, managing tough clients, developing boundaries or processes etc.

In our community call, we will dive into these specific topics, working as a group to uncover mindset shifts, reflection questions, and tactical strategies to implement. We’ll co-create homework to apply what we’ve uncovered right away so that we can shift our businesses and lives.

  • The Slack channel serves as the main tool of communication for our community in between sessions. Here, we’ll check in with each other, hold each other accountable, ask questions, and share resources to further deepen our connections.

  • Our community will decide whether or not we record the calls. With that in mind,  you are encouraged to attend at least 75% of our sessions so that you can most benefit from the community we’re creating and for this work to be as powerful as possible.

  • This community is made up of creatives, freelancers, and business owners in the outdoors industry who have an established book of business. They are designers, consultants, writers, and other service providers in the outdoors industry who are looking to level up their business so that it can provide greater freedom in their life.

  • No, this is not a program for folks just starting out but for established owners dealing with different challenges. If you’re just starting out and looking for community, please consider the Freelancer Boot Camp and the Client Accelerator or reach out to learn more about 1:1 coaching and other programs available for you.

  • Yes! This is for freelancers with mature businesses facing specific challenges like feeling burn out, dealing with overworking, not working with their ideal clients, or not feeling safe in the income they’re earning.

Still have questions?

Great! Reach out to Justine for more information.

You’ve been going full speed but…

you haven’t stopped to ask if this pace is actually working for you in this season.

You’ve got exciting plans ahead but…

you’re not sure they align with what you truly want right now.

You’ve been “fine” but…

you know there’s some reflective work you’ve been avoiding.

You know your values, but...

you’ve put your own needs and values on the back burner.

You’ve weathered a lot of change but…

you haven’t taken time to define what this next chapter means for you.

It makes sense. With the heaviness of the world and society’s expectation that we just keep moving, many of us find ourselves treading water, scrambling, and losing our sense of self.

Let’s carve out some intentional time this Fall to reclaim and honor
your North Star.
